Artist's Statement-2009

Art should be for The People! Not just made for fellow Artists and potential buyers. Come on Creative Friends, follow your Heart and Not the Crowd and Reach the Masses...

I was born in the city of York , England . I attended the Slade School of Fine Art, London .

I came to New York City to study the Certificate and Master of Fine Art Program at The New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture. In my work I respond to the urban environment. The architecture and social interactions within the city are of great interest to me.

I use mixed media to build a surface of marks in response to the most significant forms I see. My source material consists of newspaper imagery and memory. My current home is Harlem ; this continues to be the most powerful influence in my Art
